Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC other fighter, is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started out in the form of a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after taking home bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011, and the 2015 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012, she took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final bout took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut came in 2002 at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko stopped fighting to concentrate on kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by a unanimous decision. The promotion ended in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the final clinch. After this win, Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC in the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious in the unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi in the split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to beat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko had a win in her first three fights before losing the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. In the past, Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker via second-round TKO.
